We constantly wondered if in fact there was a paranormal presence in the apartment, but for the most part we did it in passing. The girls did not want to talk much about it. After all, denial works great. Time passed and things were fine, nothing major had happened. The laughs and voices coming from the second room became usual for us even when the girls who slept in that room were still somewhat afraid.
One night after having a few glasses of wine, because we're classy...and because two of the girls can't handle hard liquor, someone pulled a deck of cards and said "lets play spirit in the room!". I looked at them and thought "why not?". Apparently they had played it before and the answers always turned out to not go with the question which made it silly and fun to them. So we started to play the game and they were right, it was silly and fun.
Now, take into consideration that with a deck of cards the questions can only be answered with: yes, no, maybe and ask again. That's exactly what makes it funny. So, in the middle of playing someone says "why don't you ask the spirit if it's here for Zia?" So, Eda goes ahead and asks that and then pulls a card...the answer was yes. To keep on with it she asked if it was a male and we got another positive answer. Her third question was "are you nice?" and the answer was no, so she asked "do you like us?" again a no. Things were getting serious so she asked "do you wanna hurt somebody here?" and the answer was yes.
That terrified the girls, but what are the chances it could have been just a coincidence. So we decided to ask basic questions, like am I wearing blue?, is Tay eating chocolate?...really easy and basic things like that. All the answers matched the questions. At that point, the girls didn't want to play anymore. And to this day if I ask them to play they won't agree or they'll pretend I never said it.
A few days after that, I was in the living room working on a paper and Tay comes in goes to her room and then steps out to the balcony to talk on the phone. When she walked out the left the door open and just stood there. I could hear her talking and at some point her voice wasn't as clear as before. But whatever, I thought she just didn't want to be too loud. After about 10 minutes I hear a loud banging on the door, it was Tay she was knocking on the balcony's door. I got up and went over only to realize the door had been closed and locked.
When I opened the door Tay's first words were "why did you closed and locked the door?" and I immediately told her "it wasn't me, I never moved from my spot and nobody else came here". She went to her room and didn't came out until later when all the girls were home, and then she told everyone what had happened. The girls were scared and somewhat concerned. Because it wasn't windy that day and we couldn't blame the wind for closing the door and locking it without one sound.
The incident just did not made any logical sense. And the girls were now more scared than ever so they told me to get rid of it, to make it go away or at least to make it stop. After that day, I sat in my room sitting on my bed alone and I decided to talk to whatever was there. So I said like I was talking to someone I could actually see, "please stop, stop scaring them, do not mess with them please". After that, the girls never said they heard anything anymore. And everything was peaceful and back to normal or so they thought....

Is Somebody There?? Part 1
I haven't posted anything in months...I apologize, I was taking a few summer classes and those require a bit more studying and focus than classes during the regular academic year. Anyway, in light of that I will talk about the events that took place in the apartment I lived during the regular academic year...
I moved into the apartment on September 22, 2013. It was a beautiful Sunday and the weather was perfect, the weather is great 95% of the time over there. The apartment complex is owned by the university, there's an endless list of rules and regulations that we must abide by and with that in mind I thought it would be a great place to live and not be so distracted by parties and things...but oh boy, was I wrong.
I shared the apartment with 4 other people, one of which was my roommate and I knew her because we moved from the same town. Knowing at least one person gives a bit of comfort given that I was terrified about the kind of people I would live with thanks to the random, self-assign process the university uses. I met my other 3 housemates and they were great. One of the first chats we had was about the unknown and paranormal events. I warned them about the events my presence could bring and the response was broad, from believing me to thinking I was lying or it was all in my head.
The days went by and everything was normal, nothing seemed to be out of place. But such peace did not lasted long. About 2 weeks after moving in I started to hear voices and laughs coming from the second room. At first I thought one of the girls was there and did not paid much attention to it. The same thing happened for about a week before I realized no one was in the room. I told the girls the noises I heard coming from that room and the first logical explanation was "it's the neighbors".
I left it like that since I didn't want to scare them but I knew that the noises I heard were not caused by the neighbors (their noises and sounds had a more distant tone). The noises continued and one day one of the girls who slept in that room was in the kitchen with me when we heard laughs coming from the room. Her first reaction was "oh, Tay* is there?" and she immediately went to check only to find an empty room. But how could that be possible if the laugh was so clear and it was so obvious that it came from the room?
After that we gathered again to discuss the possibility that what was going on was something out of the norm. This time around no more "that is BS" comments were uttered and everyone resolved to keep an open mind and be respectful about the unknown. Things were quiet for a while, until one day while I was sitting on my bed hating the world (it was Monday morning) and while I sat there one of my nightstand drawers opened by itself. Yes, by itself! It was just as if someone had pull it open. I closed it and got out of the room.
A few days later I woke up at 6am (and I was the first one up) and went straight to the kitchen to find the stove on. I stood there, perplexed at how that had happened. Why was it on if no one was up and I was the last one to go to bed the night before? I always double check and is a fact that the stove was not on when I went to bed at 1am. A few minutes later Eda* walks into the kitchen and I immediately point out the stove being on. She just looks at me confused and we both knew that we were thinking the same thing. She hurried over and turned it off and we moved on to our daily routines.
Later that day Eda and me gathered the girls to comment on what happened with the stove and all we got were frightened faces. At that point Brea*, my roommate, looks at me and says "your drawer opened by itself the other day, it was just as if someone pulled it open". I just smiled and said I had seen that happen before. After that the girls looked at me and said "whatever you brought with you please make it go away". We were convinced there was an extra resident at out apartment. And we continuously asked ourselves and each other "is somebody really there"?

Poltergeist Baby
Does that even make sense? A poltergeist baby? What are we talking about here, a baby ghost? Well, not really. I'm using poltergeist baby to refer to myself. And before I confuse you even more let me get to it...
Poltergeists are seen as different things depending on the culture and the person. Over 20+ years of life I have my own definition for it. A poltergeist can be a ghost, a spirit, a low level demonic force, or simply energy which we feed and "bring to life".
After all the things that I've been through I came to the conclusion that I was a poltergeist baby. And what exactly is that? Well, for my purposes, it is a baby that "inherits" all kinds of negative energies that are followed by spirits and feeds those energy throughout his/her life. You see, I was born in less than perfect circumstances to a less than perfect family (whom I love with all my heart!). My family had been worked on, meaning they had all kinds of witchcraft done to them...specially my mother. I have no idea what could have been done to her when she was expecting me because around that time she had to have a cleanse. So, she took my sisters and herself to be cleansed and "crossed". You can be "crossed" for the better or worse. When it's for the better, for your own good, it's like giving you a shield as a way of preventing anything negative from attaching to you. I was on my mom's belly, I could not technically be "crossed" but since it was done to her it "passed" on to me. But I do have the need to call BS on that!
It is for that reason that I say I'm a poltergeist baby. I believe I inherited negative energies that were directed towards my mom, and since the day I was born I have feed them making them more powerful over the years. And like I previously mentioned, I spend my last weeks in my mom's belly with virtually no oxygen yet I made it out perfectly well. That was something not even the doctors could believe. Something or someone was really protecting me.
It was for that reason, oxygen suddenly gone and my life at risk, that it was believed that someone tried or successfully crossed me...in both ways, good and bad. Hence why I didn't die but I did ended up with all kinds of bad energies attached to me!
It is extremely hard for me to say when I was physically contacted for the first time, but I have to say I was 11 years old since I cannot really account for a lot of things prior to that...memory gaps and family refusing to cooperate doesn't help. But yeah, the whole phenomenon of things being dropped or falling down, noises like someone is there, steps, flickering lights, touching...I've experienced it all. And I believe I made it stronger over so many years to the point where it can actually hurt me. Now, that is scary! But, I will elaborate on that later.
For the time being, I leave you with the thought that the moment I was born a battle of forces begun.

The Woman Who Lives Under the Bed
First actual story...yay! However, it is not a personal one! Today I will share with you guys my aunt's experience that scared her the most, and believe me that over the years she developed an incredibly low sense of fear to the unknown! For her it became natural...like seeing living humans walking on the streets. Anyways, here it goes...
There were only two rooms in my grandma's house where my aunt lived and the rooms were only separated by a wall and connected by a door. No hallway between them or anything. When the incident happened both rooms were used (later one of them will be empty most of the time), my uncle slept in one and my grandma and aunt in the other but in separate beds. The two beds were set up in opposite sides of the room, in a way that they left a space right between them (like a crossroad). Now, imagine two dominants sleeping in the same room that's like a portal for everything and anything in other dimensions...yeah, scary stuff.
Well, the night came and as usual my grandma and aunt went to bed. Usually grandma stays up pretty late and sleeps only a tiny bit but in those earlier days she slept more and fell asleep pretty quick. So, that left my aunt's eyes to wander the room on their own. Most of the time nothing happened, everything was calm and quiet and peaceful. However, that one night things were different.
My aunt actually fell asleep...and then woke up later during the night. That alone is a bad sign! She tried her hardest to fall asleep but it didn't work and a few moments later...hello nightmare! The room shared a wall with the living room where the entrance door was, so any and every noise can be heard loud and clear from both sides. And there it was...the sound of steps.
She clearly heard steps throughout the living room. Those steps were accompanied by groans, quiet and long ones. The steps kept getting closer and closer until suddenly she heard the steps in the room. She did not want to look, after all she was young and afraid of what her eyes could meet. After some time and while the steps kept getting closer she decided to take a took. Afraid, she peeked a bit by uncovering her face. What she saw would stay with her forever. It was a large woman, walking in a slow and painful way. With every step she took she groaned in pain. My aunt though that at one point it would approach her but just as the woman reached the crossroad between the beds she stopped. The woman stayed still a few seconds and suddenly just dropped to the ground and disappeared.
That was it, my aunt never saw or heard her again. But she wanted to know why she appeared there and why she disappeared in the spot she did. After some digging she came up with the idea that the woman was killed there and buried in the spot she disappeared. Apparently, before the town became a town criminals who were passing through would bury their gold and money and kill someone to bury along with their treasure so that it could be protected. To this day it is still believed that some ghosts appear only to let you know there is something valuable there so you can get it out because that's the only way they'll also be freed.
Have you heard of this before?? Any money ghosts incidents you know?
